What disinfection/sanitation practices do you follow?
I am a Professionally trained, Barbicide Certified Makeup Artist/Hairstylist following the best sanitation practices that the industry has to offer, including but not limited to:
Cleaning and sanitizing Makeup brushes after each use
Sanitizing the makeup applicator and palettes using 70%+ isopropyl alcohol after each use
Use of disposable applicators wherever possible
Sanitization of hair tools after each use
Wearing mask and gloves when working with clients
On top of this, due to COVID restrictions, I request that no one is present in the room other than the person getting the services done when the services are being rendered.
What brands of products do you work with?
I work with the best quality brands including but not limited to Bobbi Brown, MAC, Estée Lauder, Tatcha, Too Faced, L’Oréal, Maybelline, Anastasia, Tarte, Huda Beauty, Morphe, and Tartelette.

How long would it take to render the services? Should I add some buffer to the event time?
Here is the typical time taken for rendering each of the services:
Makeup: 60 minutes (min.)
Hair: 60 minutes (min.)
Saree Draping: 15 - 30 minutes based on the style
Jewelry setting: 15 - 20 minutes
I usually recommend my clients to add at least 20-30 minutes of buffer time to prevent rushed work and get the best finish. Since each service offered has a minimum time required associated with them, plan your itinerary accordingly to ensure satisfactory results. We will not be responsible to provide our best quality of services when less than the minimum indicated time is provided.
What should I do before the MUA arrives on the premises for the services? Is there a checklist?
Keep all your accessories/flowers ready so that it would be faster to set it all up.
Pick a spot in your house with a mirror and an electrical port where we can get the makeup and hair done.
Pre-prep your hair by washing and blow-drying to save some time
I have some modifications to do to my booking. When is the earliest I have to let you know?
Any type of change to booking should be made at least 2 weeks before the event and are subject to availability to ensure proper staffing, location change, or a change in the timeline can be accommodated.
Why should I pay the non-refundable deposit?
I accept a non-refundable deposit of 50% to reserve your date and time exclusively for you. The deposit will provide a confirmation for the need for services and will be deducted from the final bill for the day-of services.
Yes. For services involving multiple people, we will provide a schedule for when each service will approximately start/end. We are not responsible for last minute rushes if the schedule is not adhered to.
Can you pick up the Saree to be draped from my place?
Yup, based on my availability. Although, drop off at my residence is preferred. Any travel might lead to additional charges to be paid based on the distance.
I have to cancel/reschedule my appointment. What should I do?
All cancellations will be charged full rate unless there are extreme circumstances or negotiated prior to the event.
If the wedding/event is canceled for reasons outside of the client's control - such as a natural disaster, pandemic, travel restrictions, or restrictions on gathering, the client is not responsible for fulfilling the full payment of the contract but can apply the deposit to hair and makeup services for a smaller event on the same day.
A $25 rescheduling fee if services are required to be rescheduled within 24 hours before the scheduled time.
Why does my makeup feel/look heavy?
Many clients who don’t use makeup too often feel the makeup is too much since they haven’t seen themselves with full detailed makeup! In order to get the best pictures in all lighting and weather conditions, trust the process of the HMUA to get the best results for your big day!
I am not comfortable with you posting my pictures on social media. Is that OK?
Totally! I value the privacy of my clients. Please inform your concern prior to the event so that I can plan my Instagram/Facebook stories and Grid accordingly. I would still request to take Before-After pictures in order to keep for my reference so that I can continuously improve.

Does the makeup and hair combo have to be done on the same person to get the discounted price?
Yes, the Makeup and Hair combo has to be requested for the same person to get discounts ranging from $10-$30 compared to booking them individually.
Do you wait for a second Saree change?
I don’t wait for the second Saree change because the time duration between events is out of the control of the client, and usually takes longer than discussed based on the ceremonial procedures, which is totally understandable. For clients who ask for a second Saree change, I offer pre-pleating services where I pre-pleat the Saree before the event and give it to the clients so that they can drape it easily with the help of their family.
Why do the prices vary at different times?
I keep revising my prices to make sure I give the best to my clients with top quality products. I never compromise on the quality of service provided and continuously upgrade my kit to follow the best of industry standards. This, along with overhead costs like self-employment taxes, inflation, mileage, accountant fees, website/social media costs, marketing, and advertising costs influence my decision of the price point.
Do you travel to other states for work?
I do travel for work if the client is willing to cover these additional expenses:
Travel charges (Flight charges + 1 checked bag + Rental car/Pick up and drop from airport and venue)
Accommodation
Do you do makeup/hair trials?
I do makeup/hair trials at my base price for the services. My clients usually use these services for events like pre-wedding shoots.
